The famous Giovanni Bellini did an oil painting named Giovanni Emo some time in the 1475-83. Bellini's painting can be found in the National Gallery of Art, Washington. The expression of the man is very displeased and aggrivated. With the exception of just a dull-black background and an off black hat, this painting is primarily different shades of yellow and beige. The bright colors of the male figure made him seem like he's of some importance and maybe royalty. This was the style of Bellini's time, and he is one of the founderes of this form of portrait.
